• Sign up as a United Way supporter through payroll contributions at your workplace. We are listed under our legal name Vancouver Meals Society, UWLM number 1239
  
  
• Attend an upcoming Fund raising event. See listing rightside of the page
  
  
• Lead a coin drive in your place of employment – draw for a winner to get the tax receipt
  
  
• Lead a food or gift drive at work or in your neighborhood for our Christmas hamper campaign
  
  
• Buy a pie at Thanksgiving

• Drop your change into one of our Make a Dish collection cans the next time you see one
  
  
• Donate your Urban Fare Points to A Loving Spoonful when you're in the store. Every 1,000 points equals $1.00 and Urban Fare will match that donation. These dollars are used to purchase formula for infants of HIV+ mothers.
  
  
• Donate your HBC Rewards to us by linking to ID #1003111. This will help us purchase equipment and supplies for the office. Our first wish is a really good vacuum cleaner.
  
  
• Check if your employer has a matching program for donations or volunteering and apply on our behalf.

The Lords of the House of Just Cuz throw The Party at the Dufferin Hotel, 900 Seymour Street . This group associated with the Dogwood Monarchist Society raised nearly $2000 last year.

Tuesdays

The Loving Lounge at The Denman Freehouse, 1780 Davie Partial proceeds from the sale of Oland Specialty Beer added up to $2500 or 12 volunteer prepared congregate meals for 50, in 2004

Thursdays

The Red Ribbon Table at ZIN Restaurant & Lounge 1277 Robson

Every Thursday, Chef Chris Whittaker will be out in his whites to interact with the diners at the Red Ribbon Table, where 25% of your food bill will be donated to Dining Out For Life, all year long. Reservations recommended at 604-408-1700.

Saturdays

Popular at Celebrities Night Club 1022 Davie

Resident DJ Dickey Doo and weekly special guests spin house until 3 am . Hosted by the House of Venus and Cotton. This event has raised $6400 since August 2004 - one full week of nutritious frozen meals delivered to men, women and children living with AIDS.

Sundays

Sweet Sundays at Lumiére 2551 West Broadway

The Lumiére Tasting Bar and A Loving Spoonful announce the perfect reason to stop counting calories. For each dessert ordered in the Tasting Bar, Lumiére will donate 50% of the proceeds directly to A Loving Spoonful. So join us on Sundays and cozy up to a crème bruleé, or cuddle with a crumble. See just how sweet a little love can be.

• Display our “Make a Dish Come True” coin canister Our coin canisters are an important way to raise support and awareness for A Loving Spoonful. Display in your place of business or help us to find someone who will.
  
  
• Gifts-In-Kind - Every year A Loving Spoonful produces four in-house fundraising events for which we need prizes and silent auction items. Each guest list is different and our donors actively support those businesses that support us
