Created three years ago by Mark Whalen and Maarten Perera, owners of the Slice of Life Gallery and Gift Shop on Gabriola Island, BC, The Glimmer of Hope Project donates $5.00 from selected artworks sold throughout the gallery to a chosen charity. This year A Loving Spoonful will receive the generous donations from The Glimmer of Hope Project!
This project is a creation of Mark Whalen and Maarten Perera who are the owners of the Slice of Life Gallery and Gift Shop located on Gabriola Island, BC. Slice of Life is an art collective comprised of the following members: Karen Aaker, Lesley Harris, Olwyn Hughes, Ted Johnson, Maarten Perera, Lynn Van Herwaarden, Alexis Yobbagy, Fay Weller and Melinda Wilde. The gallery features a diverse collection of crafts, fair-trade projects, art supplies and meditation tools.
