Director of Operations: James Koch

This position is directly responsible for the effective management and continuous improvement of all logistical aspects of A Loving Spoonfuls meal programs; including stock, delivery, front office administration, record-keeping and database management.

James comes to A Loving Spoonful with diverse background skills which include furniture design and hospitality management. In his position he finds himself using most of those skills, with very few exceptions. When he is not enjoying the comradeship of the ALS team, you will most likely find him steering through the damp Vancouver streets on two narrow wheels.

Director of Client Services: John Britton

John moved to Canada from the UK in early 2006 and his involvement with A Loving Spoonful began almost immediately, when he started as an administration volunteer whilst awaiting his Canadian residency and work permit. By the time his permit finally arrived in 2007, John’s involvement with the agency and its clients was such that he was offered, and accepted, a full time staff position. John’s professional background is business-based, although he is also a qualified teacher and has extensive experience both in the UK and Canada as an advocate and volunteer for HIV/AIDS awareness agencies.

Director of Volunteer Services: Jen Hill

Jen is thrilled to be A Loving Spoonful’s Director of Volunteer Services and to be working with such an amazing team. She has lived in Vancouver for 15 years. When she is not recruiting new volunteers, she can be found walking with her Bulldog Chancho, playing the Ukulele (badly), and enjoying a nice meal with family and friends.

Dietitian: Rani Wangsawidjaya, RD

The position is responsible for providing Medical Nutrition Therapy to all clients. The dietitian addresses individual needs and concerns as well as gaps in services for the community. The Registered Dietitian is a member of the College of Dietitians of BC.

Rani Wangsawidjaya has focused her career on community health care and has worked with the HIV community locally and internationally for several years. After completing her degree and internship, she worked in South Africa as the dietitian of an HIV community hospital and clinic. She became A Loving Spoonful’s dietitian soon after her return to Vancouver. She is also a Community Nutritionist for Vancouver Coastal Health. Rani is passionate about working with individuals and community organizations to improve the health of people living with HIV. In her spare time, she can be found Polynesian dancing her way around town.

Development Coordinator: Crystal Bradstock

Crystal Bradstock attended the Event Marketing Management Program at BCIT. Her event planning experience includes grand opening parties, corporate team building days and not-for-profit events. Crystal’s latest event was Dining Out For Life, where over 225 restaurants donated 25% of their food sales to A Loving Spoonful and The Friends For Life Society. Her extensive organization skills, ability to work well under pressure and her relaxed attitudes makes her the perfect new addition to the A Loving Spoonful team. In Crystal’s spare time she enjoys playing volleyball, hanging out with friends and family and spending time with her chocolate lab, Madison.
