Executive Director: Lisa Martella
Lisa Martella is the Executive Director for A Loving Spoonful and joined the organization in October 2008. Lisa has over 14 years experience working in the not for profit sector and couldn't think of a more rewarding career. Her experience is invaluable as she is able to put a strategic plan into place, increase public awareness about important issues and create new and exciting opportunities working towards the betterment of our communities. Lisa continues to move forward bringing innovative and sustainable solutions to operating a not for profit organization. Lisa is also on the Board of Directors for Touchstone Family Association and she is Chair of their Communications Committee. With a warm smile, enthusiasm and dedication for helping others, Lisa is a true leader in her field
Director of Operations: James Koch
This position is directly responsible for the effective management and continuous improvement of all logistical aspects of A Loving Spoonfuls meal programs; including stock, delivery, front office administration, record-keeping and database management.
James comes to A Loving Spoonful with diverse background skills which include furniture design and hospitality management. In his position he finds himself using most of those skills, with very few exceptions. When he is not enjoying the comradeship of the ALS team, you will most likely find him steering through the damp Vancouver streets on two narrow wheels.
Director of Client Services: Alex Beyer
Alex leverages his experience in the gaming, warehousing and event services industries within his position at A Loving Spoonful. Continually applying his ability to manage groups or teams towards the fulfillment of a shared vision for the benefit and enjoyment of all Alex’s time spent with operations at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank illustrates his deep-seated commitment to ensuring those who most need it always has access to the basics of life: food. Leveraging experience gained by managing gaming operations for the likes of the PNE fair and Boardwalk Gaming Center his acute ability to coordinate multiple individuals towards the fulfillment of one common goal has him succeed with ease in serving the needs of A Loving Spoonful’s clients.
Director of Development
and Volunteer Services: Adria Karchut
Adria lends her diverse background of marketing and management experience to her position with A Loving Spoonful acquired with both the corporate and artistic communities. Having managed the operations of various Art Galleries her attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple elements at once supports her work with the volunteers of the organization. Conversely Adria’s executive experience working as the marketing director with varied SMBs enables the media and community relations skills she needs to further develop the interests of A Loving Spoonful. Possessing a natural ability to engage and excite both those who give their time, or their support to the organization her vast skill set of public relations, writing or marketing development experience couples with her personal ambition to make a difference within the community at large through the work she does on a daily basis.

Dietitian: Cindy Chiu, RD
The position is responsible for providing Medical Nutrition Therapy to all clients. The dietitian addresses individual needs and concerns as well as gaps in services for the community. The Registered Dietitian is a member of the College of Dietitians of BC.
